June 2026 Meetup - Of friends and friendship
Guys, I ran out of time to craft a detailed post for this month's meetup. So here are some quick links you can use as reference.
Freindship is a partnership in life. Harmony is an agreement in beleifs concerning matters in life. Of freindships, aquaintance is freindship of those known to one another; intimacy is the freindship of people gorwn accustomed to one another; comradship is freindship by choice, as, for example, with those of the same age group; hospitality is freindship with strangers. There is also a kin freindship of kinsmen, and an erotic freindship from erotic love.

So many of our friendship issues arise because we think people should respond as God does, or we assume that God responds to us as imperfect people do. When we attempt to find our security and value solely in human friendship, we become idolaters...
...Christian friendship entails securing ourselves to the sure, steadfast anchor of Christ and, while holding to that anchor, giving and receiving the gift of friendship to others as He gives us opportunity. The goal is to enjoy God together with other Christians and, as we move through life, to sharpen our friends and to allow ourselves to be sharpened by them.
