Meetup on Thursday, Feb. 19th, 2026, @ 7 pm.
Hosted at Rigby's Cigars in Paris, Texas.

This month will be hosted by founding S&T advisor and participant, Ronny Ross. He will lead us through a discussion of nationhood and peoples using Genesis 10-11.

Genesis is presumed a trustworthy source of the Origins of everything including all humanity with an accurate calculation of lineage in the genealogies from Adam to Noah.

The tenth chapter of Genesis ... stands absolutely alone in ancient literature, without a remote parallel, even among the Greeks, where we find the closest approach to a distribution of peoples in genealogical framework ... The Table of Nations remains an astonishing accurate document. – William F. Albright

Too often Chapters 10 -11 are ignored as mere speed bumps in the way of “more important” Biblical background. Nevertheless they’re a record of Noah’s immediate descendants, their rebellious effort to refuse migration and God’s act of confusing the original common language of man. The result would be the immediate division of peoples by tongues. Over the centuries following they would traverse the earth to become this world’s modern nations and peoples.

Nations should understand their origin. Doing so would aid in replacing the curse of division with a story of human connection.  Ignorance only leaves us a world of lonely souls in a cold, impersonal universe. Most people long to understand why we exist, if there’s a purpose in existence and if anything comes after our brief time.

Genesis 10 -11 serves as,

“…a mirror in which to discern that we human beings are, namely, creatures so marred by sin that we have no knowledge of our own origin, not even of God Himself, our Creator, unless the Word of God reveals… Those who are without [the Scriptures] live in error, uncertainty, and boundless ungodliness; for they have no knowledge about who they are and whence they came.” – Martin Luther
